Sanderstead Wildlife Garden

This design for a family garden in Sanderstead, South London, balances everyday family life with a strong commitment to wildlife. The brief called for a range of usable spaces: a cosy coffee spot, an area for outdoor dining and entertaining, open lawn for the children to play, and a woodland firepit area for cooler evenings.

Throughout the design, wildlife-friendly principles have been woven in wherever possible - with the addition of wildlife friendly trees and planting, a mini-meadow area, a bog garden and a simple water feature - supporting biodiversity alongside the garden's practical, everyday uses.

Works are due to begin in autumn 2026, and it'll be wonderful to see this garden transform.
